Get more marks than your friend: How to cope up with your friend scoring more in JEE Main

“Dost fail ho jaye toh dukh hota hai, lekin dost first aa jaye toh zyada dukh hota hai”
Remember Raju’s words when Rancho topped? It was, by far, the most realistic line I’ve heard in the history of Indian Cinema.
Friends are like 2 bodies but 1 soul. Now, just think about it, half of that soul topped and the other half didn’t. It’s weird and, probably the worst nightmare!

Doing everything together is the first “unspoken” oath that, automatically, is taken when we become friends with someone. So, it obviously hurts when the other, breaks the pledge, by earning higher chances of getting into a better college than you.
But hey, the world has not ended for you. Focus on JEE Advance, and try to score your best. Polish your weak areas with practice and ask your friend to help you. Ask her to feel sorry for scoring more than you, by getting her to clear all your doubts and problems, and strengthen your weak topics. Concentrate on the areas where you went wrong.
Assume, both you and your friend, are blocks of wood, used for burning (in the JEE). This time, it’s just that your friend was dry, so he fluently burnt his knowledge there, and you were a li’l wet (I hope, not literally in the exam hall), facing a bit of hiccups. But you can still dry up, and set your knowledge ablaze.
Look, the fact that your friend has scored more implies that he understood something that you didn’t. It’s not as if, she’s a genius or something, it’s just that she focused and you didn’t, as simple as that. Always remember, in the end, when you’ll look back, you will notice that you’ve finished a very long race, but there was only one contender in the entire race, you. So, you are your only competition.
So, instead of feeling low, you must feel proud of your friend that s/he excelled. Remember, this is also a friends’ stuff, to be happy when the other’s happy.
Still wanna make him regret about scoring more? Force him to the nearest Food Court, and since he appeared to be more comfortable with the maths back in the exam hall, let him handle the counter’s matters.

P.S –I, once, scored more than my friends, in an exam; I still get to hear satanic verses from them, for that!
